Recently I was directed by the Holy Spirit to listen to a sermon by someone who I had not listened to for a while. The message brought into sharp focus how much the Lord desires to have us close. Even the discipline of the Lord is so things that hinder our intimacy with Him are removed. His love for us is passionate and focused.

The invitation to the church of the last age (Revelation 3:20) is to share fellowship with the Lord – to feast together! I had a dream once in which I was telling someone, “The Lord invites us to experience every level of intimacy He has available to us.”

Prayer is what brings us into that intimacy that God desires. “Let me see your radiant face and hear your sweet voice. How beautiful your eyes of worship and lovely your voice in prayer,” He says to us in Song of Songs 2:14 (TPT). What a special and beautiful invitation to spend time with the Lord!
